The food was sumptuous with perfect portion sizes that left me satisfied. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will definitely be returning to explore more of the menu.
We got some tofu soup, original fried chicken and jjajang-udon! Love the banchans, my favorite is always their radish and the bean sprouts. It was a good hearty meal!!
This was our initial visit to a Korean restaurant, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The cuisine was exquisite, and the portions were generous. The food was delightful, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, consistently ensuring that we had everything we needed. The prices were reasonable and justified the quality of the meal. We look forward to returning and highly recommend this establishment.
The fried chicken was quite disappointing. Meat was not juicy, skin very oily and dark, so probably they refried them in old oil. Seafood pancake was still amazing though. The best around this area. Pork chop, surprisingly, was good too. Rarely do you find this in a Korean restaurant.
Myung Dong Tofu Cabin is awesome! The food is delicious and feels like a warm hug on a chilly day. Their ramen soup is my favorite - it's super flavorful and makes me feel like I'm back in Korea. The banchan (side dishes) are a nice bonus and add extra yumminess to the meal. The staff is friendly, and the place has a cozy vibe. If you're into Korean food or just want some tasty comfort food, definitely give this place a try! Highly recommended!
I stopped in here when I felt a cold coming on and I'm glad I did! This is a hidden Korean gem. The tofu stew with beef was a perfect choice. I ordered to go, and found it reasonably priced as it also came with the bonchon and rice! I was able to get two large meals from this. Can't wait to try this spot as a dine in option and continue to support this local restaurant.
Somehow, my long-winded review went poof and I'm not in the mood to retype the whole thing. Six adults and one toddler, a ton of food. Most of it was very good. Galbi was excellent. Definitely would come again if in the area and in the mood for Korean fare. Service was pretty good; picked up empty dishes promptly; brought us more Bon Chan when ours was empty; kept our teacups full.
Came here at 6PM with a party of 2 on a Sunday, we were seated immediately with a decent amount of people in the restaurant. Decided to just share an order of galbijim in spicy flavor. The portion worked out great for us, we left happily full and not too stuffed! You can taste the spicy but it won't hurt you. The flavors are delicious and the beef is tender. You get big chunks of potato and carrots. For the price of this dish I was very satisfied. At a flashier place like Daeho you'd pay 60% more for galbijim - of course the dish would be presented differently, but if you just care about having some delicious beef I think this is a much better deal. Service was fast and corrected some minor mistakes, which I think is a great sign. Would definitely recommend a visit!
Updated Review 2023 This korean restaurant hits the spot in flavor and price. Ordered yuk gae gang ($20) which had great flavor with depth and impressed by how much veggie and meat were in it. In recent years (prolly due to pandemic and economy), there weren't much meat in the food when I ordered Jaja myun (black bean noodles). So I'm really impressed and super stoked by this turnaround. Had good and plentiful side dishes that were free (no extra charge which they previously did in the past). I asked if there was new ownership and they said no. Prices remain same and competitive in the area. I'm really excited with the new improvements. Will definitely be returning if they maintain this standard of food portion, flavor, and pricing.
